Becoming a Firefighter
The Culver City Fire Department is looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing prompt, quality services through personal growth, respect and support for each other, and for the community. Anyone interested in becoming a Culver City Firefighter is encouraged to contact the Human Resources Department.
Minimum requirements are:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Participation in the Los Angeles and Orange County Fire Chiefs’ Physical Ability Test (Biddle Physical Agility Test) OR the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center's Physical Ability Test (CPAT).
- Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) Grants - The California Fire Foundation would like to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent anyone from taking the FCTC Candidate Physical Ability Test or written exam. The Foundation has grants available to pay the fees for individuals who demonstrate a financial hardship.
